SANKOFA is a Black History Month special featuring Gary Williams, a Baltimore Corps Public Allies alum, who shares his family’s history of service and giving back through his grandmother’s passion and love of gardening. “Sankofa,” meaning “to go back and get it” in Akan, holds cultural significance as a symbol of bringing the past forward and integrating tradition into modern practices.
